Inside the Octagon
While watching "Rocky Balboa" last night with a friend the discussion of boxing came up and she made the comment of how she does not like the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). I was kind of confused as she noted she was fine with boxing.
I queried as to the difference and what turned her off of the UFC fighting. She noted it was a turn off because it was like 2 dogs in a cage; is that not what boxing is as well. We must remember the athletes that step into the ring or the octagon are adults and are being paid to entertain. Animals are forced into a situation where one must kill the other in order to survive, this is not the same.
These men have made a conscious choice to step into an arena and be battered for both our entertainment and for the primal glory which is hand to hand combat. Personally I love the UFC, I think its great but hey that is just one gentleman's opinion.
Keep your fighting in the ring whenever possible.

Here's where I don't understand anything. I have never watched UFC, but have heard alot about it from you and Hazy. I am not against UFC or boxing, it's a choice of the individual.
When I was younger I use to watch wrestle. Favorite wrestler was Shawn Michaels, WOW what a hottie. My whole views have changed on the wrestling, boxing thing.
Hazy said that he is going to let me watch a show or two with him and see what I think. I am always up for new things and you know that. So if you like boxing and the UFC, go for it. It's your choice and that's all that matters.
