Justice should not apply

The following article on CBC disturbs me to no end.

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/manitoba/story/2008/11/05/sinclair-trial.html

I am sure that once you have read the article above you will be as upset and disgusted as I was. These people are no good and should not be permitted in society. We have a justice system to serve and protect the citizens of this world. But what if they do not deserve to be here. If you take a childs life by beating them to death slowly you should be given the same punishment.

Perhaps its because I have kids, I don't know but as the years pass I am growing less and less tolerant of the people in this world and the lack of justice that is being done. 25years to life with no chance of parole is not good enough for them. They get to live, the child didn't. When she did live it was in pain.

What is this place coming to?

The police are useless to us in OS. They cannot protect anyone, or should I say they do not want to protect anyone anymore. 911 call... 45min to respond. Local team mascot gets attacked, security does nothing, police do nothing.
grow-op across the street, police there all the time... do nothing again. what does the city do to help with this problem.... nothing! Is there not enough money in the budget to do your jobs anymore?
Vigilante justice will soon prevail in this small area, when justice isn't served by the government it will be served by those who feel the greatest injustice. We shall rise up and fight back against the violent nature of this city. We will not look the other way, we will not sit down and hide. We will stand and fight for all those who have fallen, all those who cannot defend themselves and for all of those who asked for justice and were ignored.

Customer Accountability

I had a customer come in tonight and I sold them a Pay go phone and they took it out on me when the price was higher then they thought it would be. On the bottom of the price card is am * showing that there is a note about a rebate in this case. This woman became mad and questioned my abilities as a sales rep because she has been doing it her whole life. " You have a lot to learn" she said.

I have been in sales for over 10years now, and you know what I have noticed and found is that customers are ignorant to reps of all kinds, want everything for nothing and think they don't need to read. Well you know what I am a sales rep not a babysitter. Read whats in front of you. I am not going to take you by the hand and walk you through everything, its a cell phone and I don't have the time.

To the customer who found it necessary to question my abilities with all her years of experience I say this: "Fuck you and your hat!"

Cellular Conundrum #2

"My Phone is broken"

"Ok. What has happened to it?"

"I dropped it and it broke, I want a new one!"

"We do not cover that kind of damage to phones"

"I am under a 3yr contract..."

I hear this same speech everyday at work and it really gets to you after awhile. When you sign up at a wireless dealer you are signing a legally binding contract. Customers are aware of this yet rarely ever read the contents of the contract or the terms of use policy.

No where in your contract or terms of use does it say the cell provider must provide you with a working cell phone for the duration of the contract. In fact no where does it say you are to get a phone at all.

Learn some responsibility.

I can't see you, because I don't want to.

On July 31st, 2008 a man was badly beaten in downtown Owen Sound. There were lots of witnesses to the beating which occurred right across from Jason's Pub. I have friends that were gloating about the fact they saw this man have the hell beat out him and did nothing to stop it; and I mean nothing at all.

There was no call to 911, no run in to rescue him. It was not until a passing cabby saw him that he was saved and taken to hospital. He had suffered numerous phyical wounds including the following:
- Punches
- Kicks
- Stabbing
- 2x4 to the head

People watched this go on. Yes we have seen it before, we saw it in LA when rodney king was wailed on without a second thought. I don't know about other people but I am not going to sit idlely by as some person is beaten, raped or otherwise injured or possibly killed. The real criminals are those who do nothing to stop this from happening. I am not saying you need to jump into the middle of the melee but atleast call the authorities.

White Knight,
Manitoba Bus Stabbing

Hello Everyone. So I am sure by now everyone has seen the news and is horrified by the events that happened to poor Tim. Many people have sent fond remarks and prayers to his family about the incident and for those people I say thank you.

For those of you who take this opportunity to yell and scream about every little feeling from capitol punishment to immigration issues, I say for shame. A young man has been killed in a horrific and almost unspeakable manner in front of many people who will forever be scarred by the event and you act tough by blogging. If you do not understand what I am saying, check CBC under the article and read the blog, most of its disgusting!

Was this a tragedy? Yes.
Should Canadians send their love and prayers to the young mans family? Yes.
Should we think about the killers family and their feelings? Definitely.

We should not yell and scream and try to push our own agendas in any way. I do believe that things in this country must change for our own security, but using this event as the platform is not the right approach.

Let the family mourn in peace, push our government to make this country safer, use your words for good not trolling forums and blogs.

Cellular Conundrum #1

July 11th, 2008. Apple releases the 3G iPhone in 21 countries worldwide, and expects everything to go smoothly. Rogers/Fido is the only provider north of the border and it just so happens I work for a dealer. We knew that it was going to be a bad day, but oh my god...

Doors opened at 10am. Systems crashed at 10:30am. Did not return to functional order all day. iTunes crashes worldwide, so now no iPhones at all can be activated; bravo Apple. Rogers had months to prepare for the premier of this new device and apparently didn't do anything to prepare the system for the sudden hit of several hundred thousand sales at once. I worked in the store all day, it was a living nightmare. I do not understand how two companies as large as Apple and Rogers can fuck something up this much. Like come on people get on the freaking ball for once and pay attention to your own words. You expect 200 000 sales on day 1, then make sure the system can handle it.

To all the people out there that say the phone is too expensive and the plans are gouging us for all we have I say this... Shut Up!! The phone and plans are good, I am not just saying that because I work there but because its true. We cannot match the US market because their population is 10x what ours currently is. Also if you do not like it then don't get it, but it appears to me the ones that complained the most were first in line this morning to get the new phone. HA!

Lesbian insults spur human rights complaint against comic

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2008/06/26/bc-guy-earle-comic-human-rights-complaint.html

Wow as you can see this post has been in the drafts for quite a few months now, but here we go. It is truly unbelievable to me that after long drawn out fights for equal rights, people still want mommy & daddy government to protect them. As the article details the ladies in question heckled the comic on stage which is not unheard of but when he retaliated they screamed hate crime. If you want equality then get equality but don't think it puts you above the law in a special chair.

We are all equal, no matter what religion, colour or sexual preference. I am quite aware if I go to a comedy club and pick a fight with the comic its not going to be pretty. But its all in good fun. The point is don't pick fights with people and then cry when you lose.

White Knight,
Do Heroin addicts use band-aids?

Saw a woman walking through the mall the other day and she had a band-aid on as though she had recently given blood or had it tested. It made me wonder if needle addicts have ever used band-aids to cover up the track marks?

Think about it.

White Water Rafting

So on the weekend I was outside of Beachburg, ON on a white water rafting trip. All I can really say is this place was amazing, great atmosphere excellent staff and resort. Our water guides were truly amazing.

I highly recommend that everyone check out the website of the resort. Its worth the money.

Its not a show, $#&@ off!

We have all seen people slow down at a car accident on the highway for the sole purpose of seeing the carnage that may have occurred. But what about our mall environment? Heart attack, stroke, epileptic seizure are common things to see.

Why do people stop and stare? Why?

I hate these people with a fiery passion. Its not that they're wanting to help they just want to stare at the poor soul that's fallen down due to one of the above reasons. Personally I find it really insulting for the person who is having trouble. Don't stare just move on your way, you are not helping in any way.

I almost yelled at two people today that were watching a girl have a seizure on my stores floor, she was fine, simply a temporary issue but these people stared at the girl as though it were live theatre. Perhaps its the nature of things for human beings or perhaps some of us are just sick and get some kind of thrill out of that situation.

Progress to Thunderdome

It has come to the attention of me and several others that the only natural progress for society is to have everything decided in a "thunderdome". If you have not seen the Mad Max series go out and watch and you will understand.

The gist is that there is a big metal battle dome where two men enter, one man leaves. this will solve everything. No longer will there be revenge killings, long waits for justice just bookings into the thunderdome.

Think about it, really think about it.

Time Mismanagement

"I here by surrender myself to the great battle of time and the lack there of... I surrender my World of Warcraft account for I have no time to play"

That's right folks, I have no officially quit playing the game I love so much, and lack of time is the reason. I fought long and hard to get myself to the end game but couldn't make it due to life. When you have a full time job, kids and everything else there is no time for your video games and other hobbies. Its sad but that is life; besides at this point in my life I would much rather spend time with my lovely spouse and children then slaughter some alliance player lol.

Its hard to give up those things you love to do, especially when all your friends are involved but I am sure they will understand that I am a grown up now and I cannot waste away at a computer running instances/dungeons for end game gear just to have the expansion come out.

I was a loyal solider and assassin for the Horde. Now I am a loyal companion and father to my family. May my fellow guild mates live on forever and bring great honor to the Horde!

Whats it like being a dad?

Several times a day people ask me that question, and they always seem to have a smirk on their face as though there is some kind of joke behind it, as though its a prison sentence. To me being a father is the greatest thing I have ever had the honor of doing. My little guy looks at me and talks away being only 9weeks old, and I love it.

Sure I have no idea what he is trying to tell me but it doesn't matter because he is looking at me and he knows I am his dad, today and forever. I am the guy who will be there during the good, the bad and when he starts dating possibly the ugly, lol.

To those of you who look at me and laugh because I am now a father, I look back at you and laugh to myself, for the joke is truly on you.

To my son, Jaxon I love you.

White Knight,
Middle aged violence

It has come to my attention from reading the paper and watching the news that the majority of violence is not being caused by teenagers as one would think but by those in their mid 30's to 40's. Do we know what is causing this behavior in adults all over the world? For instance less then 2 weeks ago a man in a local bar was attacked by another man in his 40's with a knife. It turned out to be an attempted robbery.

When was the last time we heard of a teenager trying to steal someones wallet? Sure we see on TV all the time about some teen going into a school with an arsenal of guns and what have you but that's not quite the same thing. Those crimes are planned out and are supposed to be caused by a grudge of some sort. The adult violence we are seeing is simply random acts of nonsense.

People usually ask me why I do not go to the bar and drink and have a good time, well folks when you look at the kind of stuff that is happening out there to people my age... you get the picture.

White Knight,
Public Etiquette

So last week I was going to the gas station to fill up before heading off to a doctors appointment for the little guy and some jerk off goes around the line and cuts me off at the pumps. I sat there and fumed from within my vehicle as he looked at me and proceeded to pump. I do not know what has happened to the unwritten public etiquette which once was. You do not cut people off when they are in line, you do not stand in the way of someone in a hurry... unless your a cop and its a speeding ticket.

Where have all the manners gone in this world? When did we lose sight of the people around us and how our actions may lead to unfortunate circumstances in the right situation. I am not saying I would have gotten out of the car and beaten the old guy down, but I am saying that somebody out there may have.

It may not seem important to us at times to remember that lines are there for a reason, other people are the same as you and I. We are not special and deserving of special attention, as such neither are they.

Dress em up, but can't take them anywhere

I saw a young man walk past my store wearing a very nice double breasted suit, well fit with good color coordination. This in itself is a good thing. The issue arises when you see he is wearing a baseball cap!

Why is it people cannot just go all the way. If you are wearing a nice suit the the baseball cap at home.

White Knight,
Educational Choke Hold

Currently going through the Canadian Senate is a bill to allow RESP contributions to be left tax free. This means the students using the money will not be taxed when withdrawing the money, Parents/Guardians can drop money into these accounts and get a tax break just like an RRSP.

Prime Minister Steven Harper is trying to put a stop to all of this. He doesn't want people to get a tax break, after all those are only for the very wealthy. Mr. Harper why are you trying to put a choke hold on Canadian education? With post secondary education becoming more and more expensive students and parents need every advantage they can get.

Why do we insist on putting down those who want a higher education? Our governments pour millions into educational advertising and then do this.

My only hope is our liberal heavy senate will see the light.

48 Hours of Fatherhood

So I finally became a daddy on Feb 12th, 2008. Everything went very well and I am quite happy with my life. The first 48hours were a little rough and I felt really useless for the most part. I have no idea how to do anything and when he wants to be nursed 24/7 you pretty much just stand there and watch.

I know that in the coming months and years I will have much more to do which is very exciting for me. Always wanted to be a father and now I finally have the chance.

I still can't fly

Energy drinks are all the rage now a days, but it appears to only be with those who don't really need them... Teens & preteens. Why are these people drinking "Red Bull", "Rock star" and the others? Its not just here and there but all the time. It appears to be an addiction. Are we producing a more addictive world? I am beginning to think so.

White Knight,
Monster's Ball

I was watching Monster's Ball last night and it made me think about the concept of execution and how we try to make it appear civilized. Provide a last meal, last rights; but what about the gallery? Is it right that people should get to watch your last moments? Personally I think its disgusting, the other thing should someone on death row be allowed to choose the means in which the act is performed? We always talk about dying with dignity, when does this stop applying?
