I'd like to buy an acronym: WTF??

This case of the 4 teenagers in Edmonton, Alberta who savagely beat a man to death is getting out of hand. First they are charged with manslaughter not murder which is what it should have been. Now they are being released on bail with the following restrictions.
- Curfew
- Cannot see each other
- Cannot ride the transit system

Am I the only person left in society that is asking WTF? This is getting out of hand, there use to be a time when we would have locked them up and threw away the key, now all we do is ground them. I am not sure if the justice system is just getting tired of it all or if its because they are only 16 and 17 years old.

When I was 16 I knew that beating someone to death was wrong. Pretty sure I still know this. The one point to remember here is if the gentlemen who was beaten, had fought back he would have been on trial. Time for a reality check folks.

Capitalist Ethics?

The United States was built on the platform of Capitalism. The great quest to make as much money as possible and buy everything that isn't nailed down.

I was just reading an article about a "strip club" owner in Colorado who is running for school board. The majority of the district has already given the thumbs down because of his job.

It has been shown that the people of the area do not think someone who runs a "strip club" has the moral character to run a school board.

What is the issue here people? Last time I checked the establishment is not illegal, not immoral by current standards. Running or even going to a "strip club", does not make you a pervert.

We have to look at the fact that sex sells. There is no other way to see it. I see no reason why this fine, outstanding and legitimate businessman shouldn't run the school board.

As I see it now, capitalism is only good if it does not break the traditional christian ethic ingrained into society. Keep your eyes open... Zealots have a way of sneaking up on people.
