Born under a bad sign?

I was looking into my Astrological Zodiac and here is what they say for Scorpio.

Typical Traits
Determined and forceful
Emotional and intuitive
Powerful and Passionate
Exciting and Magnetic

On the dark side...

Jealous and resentful
Compulsive and obsessive
Secretive and Obstinate

Scorpios are the most intense, profound, powerful characters in the zodiac. Even when they appear self-controlled and calm there is a seething intensity of emotional energy under the placid exterior. They are like the volcano not far under the surface of a calm sea, it may burst into eruption at any moment. But those of us who are particularly perceptive will be aware of the harnessed aggression, the immense forcefulness, magnetic intensity, and often strangely hypnotic personality under the tranquil, but watchful composure of Scorpio. In conventional social gatherings they are pleasant to be with, thoughtful in conversation, dignified, and reserved, yet affable and courteous; they sometimes possess penetrating eyes which make their shyer companions feel naked and defenseless before them.

They need great self-discipline, because they are able to recognize the qualities in themselves that make them different from other humans, and to know their utterly conventional natures can be used for great good, or great evil. Their tenacity and willpower are immense, their depth of character and passionate conviction overwhelming, yet they are deeply sensitive and easily moved by their emotions.

Being so gifted, they can find fulfillment in many employments. Their inner intensity can result in the ice-cold self-control and detachment of the surgeon, the concentration of the research scientist, and the heroism of the soldier.

Its amazing how close your personality can actually be to your Zodiac sign description.

Clouded Mind

I was walking home from work last night and a heavy fog had rolled in everywhere. As I continued to walk it got thicker and thicker and began to blur everything around me. Life; is what I thought to myself its just like life.

You cannot see whats coming up ahead of you, and you cannot see whats behind you. Things are blurry and a little scary. Strange sounds emanate from all around you, yet you see nothing. Fog is a mysterious and creepy thing when you are walking through it.

Road to Manhood

So it came up tonight at work about losing your virginity and how that is a right of passage into manhood. I believe this is true, I know it was for me. My dad and I had our moment after I lost my virginity, clearly a proud moment for the old man. He took me to my first strip club; another milestone for men.

There are lots of milestones out there that must be crossed on your accent to manhood. Some people look at as being stupid or outdated but these rules have been passed down for generations and are important for all. Girls tend to think its stupid but to men its part of who we are. Its just like the laws of the playground, don't laugh you all remember them. These laws cannot be broken, they are part of our society and part of us.

I suppose what I am saying is even though it may sound stupid to some the milestones men discuss are important to us and will be for generations to
come.

My House; Government get out.

So I was speaking to an old friend today and she was telling me of how the government got too far into her business when it comes to her kids. Police, children's Aid etc. There was once a time when a parent had the right to discipline their children how ever they wished, but no more. Now we must sit by and let our government and social services employees tell us what we can and cannot do in our own home.

Personally I am outraged when the schools interfere in a family affair where there is clearly no present danger to the child. First call should always be to the parent no matter what is happening, if there is a need the police should be called. Remember we must weigh out the facts and think of who may be fabricating a story.

Government and social services should stay out of the home and schools and relax on their zealous quest to remove every kid from every home. I personally believe in discipline when it comes to children; if that means spanking then so be it. I can tell you now that nobody outside of my home will tell me how to raise or discipline my children.

Rememberance Day

Today is November 11th we celebrate those who lived and those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

We salute our armed forces from all wars. I salute my grandfather and great uncle who fought in France during WWII. Lest we forget.

Thinking of Something Orange.

Checking through the provincial news today and I happened across the story of a woman out for a hike in the woods. Normally this wouldn't be news but she was killed by an avid hunter. Clearly this was an accident as the hunter had no reason to intentionally kill this individual.

This kind of accident occurs numerous times every year. There is nothing shocking about hunting accidents especially in the heavy woods of the Canadian Shield. There is a lesson to be learned from these occurrences and the lesson is quite simple. Wear bright orange clothing. It will make you stand out when you are in the woods during hunting season.

Reasons why these accidents keep happening:
1. Some hunters still believe the animal can see you. They are colour blind.

2. Nature lovers don't think about the dangers of rustling around in the woods during hunting season.

3. People are inherently stupid/ignorant to the world around them.

Needless to say this post is not going to stop hunting accidents but at least it should get the point across. Hunting has been and always will be a common sport in this country, personally I don't believe using a rifle is best but that doesn't matter. Fact is we all need to be careful and watch what we are doing be it hunter or nature enthusiast.

Cute Girl 8 Doors Down

Well folks our meeting has been arranged and needless to say I am beyond the point of being nervous. I know I shouldn't be nervous at all but man, it seems almost surreal right now. Giggles and I last saw each other 3 years ago at Georgian College in Barrie; we were classmates and we worked on the same project team.

Not sure what to expect when she arrives. I know there will be no judgment and it will be great to see her once more. I suppose the thing I am worried most about is making a mistake I will regret forever, well known I have been cursed with bad judgment in the past. LOL.

I am looking forward to our visit and I will also be celebrating a quarter century on the 16th of this month. Please, please hold you applause.

Identity Theft

Checking my current balance today for a credit card I come across 6 charges not made by myself. These were not small charges either. I contact Visa and they say the investigation will take 6 - 8 weeks to complete which I suppose is reasonable considering what has to be done.

I have always been careful with my identity, don't make any mistakes when it comes to shopping and have never lost my wallet. As it appears you can never protect yourself 100%. The issue will be resolved, but I want to find the person who did this.

I always thought I was wrong, it couldn't possibly be true. For the last 25 years I have been under the impression that you should be good to the woman in your life. You should treat her like a goddess.

Apparently what women really want is to be abused, mistreated, walked on. If you show no regard towards your partner she will worship the ground you walk on. WTF??

I have a real problem doing this, but it appears to be true. Everywhere I look women are staying with men who don't care about them, smack them around, etc...

As the title says, I have No Comment.
