Million Dollar Panhandler??

So I was walking through the mall today on my way to work and decided to stop only for a few seconds when I noticed the Bell Pay Phone message.
"Please lift receiver" I thought okay why not, then it asks for money. Sort of an odd concept these messages, please do this for me, now pay me.

Reminds me of panhandlers. Does this mean that Bell Canada is the countries largest and most profitable panhandler?

Life in the Gulag #1

So here I am almost 2years in at NuComm International and what a ride it has been. It still amazes me how things never really change, if they do they are for the worse and totally obtuse.

I came in today to find out that because one centre has experienced an issue with the Shift Bid that we all must suffer with not getting our new shifts for an extra week. The idea here is that the entire company has to fall apart all at once, not just one centre.

To me this doesn't make any sense but hey what do I know, I am nothing more then a low level drone.

Seeking: Cute girl, 8 doors down.

Recently I was speaking to a friend of mine from college, we were together in Web Design and Production we even lived in the same residence building. Seems like a good start doesn't it, here is where the hits start coming. I never got any time to spend with this fine young lady, even though we sat together everyday at the board table in class.

Right next to eachother in class, eight doors down in the residence, and yet we never said more then a few words to eachother. Time has passed I have been out of school for sometime. We both moved home, me being south and her being to the north about 8 - 9hours apart.

The real point of this is missed opportunity. Only reason I didn't approach the fine young lady was that I already had one of my own, needless to say that is no longer the case. We are currently friends at a distance, so for now I will keep trying to talk her into moving to Owen Sound, then I will have my second chance.

What Happened to Alberta??

Alberta was once the jewel of western Canada, now we are seeing Edmonton fall into a pit of crime and bizarre laws being passed that are doing nothing for anyone.

First off the Alberta government has just passed a law that is going to allow children to sue there mothers for damage caused while they are were in the womb. The law states it can only be applied to those who were in car accidents during pregnancy. This seems insane to me personally; first of all who would want to sue their own mother, what kind of person does that make you?
Insurance companies have reported that with this new law insurance rates are going to go up because of the amount of money being paid out for medical expenses. I can understand parents who abused themselves during the pregnancy, but not those who get an in accident which is of no fault of themselves. The way I am seeing this is: If you get pregnant in Alberta do not get into a car for the next 9months just in case. Nobody wants to get sued a few years down the line.

"Friends with Benefits"

This term has been thrown around a lot lately, friends with benefits. Question becomes what ever happened to just saying its casual sex, there is nothing wrong with that, at least I don't think so. Now it sounds as though normal friends have no benefits, you only gain benefit when you add the word itself.
How do you introduce these friends to your new partner. This is sue my friend with benefits. -- I have been in a lot of relationships and I can pretty much guarantee this is going to set off a red flag. I am not saying its a bad phrase to use, but there has to be something better out there.

'Charlie Brown'

Everyone remembers the kid from the Peanuts cartoon known as Charlie Brown. How often do you feel like CB? Sometimes you wake up in the morning and feel great about the day and cannot wait to get out there and get started, then BAM!! You turn into Charlie Brown.
Seems as though the world turns against you, Lucy is pulling the football and the tree just ate your kite again. Perhaps it is just me but more and more I feel as though CB was not designed after one person but after all of us. We have all had those days, at least there is somewhere out there that can be snoopy to our Charlie Brown.

So its now Dec 1st, weather is still mild and Christmas is only 24 days away. Right now I couldn't be happier with the fact that I am not doing Christmas anymore. Perhaps years of retail sales killed the spirit for me, I am not sure, all I know now is that I see no point in celebrating a religious holiday inwhich I have no connection.
