Period!

"This is our policy and it cannot be changed."
"I don't care about your policy, I want this..."

Ever heard that before? If you have ever worked in the department of customer disservice you have. People will yell and scream at you thinking that you will just change the policies of your company for them because they are special. Well guess what you are unique just like everyone else.

Policy is not changed for those who complain the loudest or threaten to leave a specific company. And the argument that I have been with you for years and you owe me something is ridiculous, you were provided a service, you paid, we delivered end of story.

No means No. Period!

White Knight.
Green Light, Green Arrow, Green Lantern?.

What is so complicated about an advanced green? Flashing or with an arrow people seem to get confused and sit there looking at it. Green means go. Flashing green, or green arrow means go now, other people want to turn as well. Green lantern, well he was a super hero.

White Knight,
Medical Care-less?

So recently I had the pleasure of spending several hours at the local hospital because we believed my better half has broken her arm. We went through registration/triage and were sent right into a room. That was great, I figured we would be sitting in the waiting room for hours. Instead we spent all of our time in the little room waiting for simple items like a bag of ice to dull the pain.

"May we have some ice?"
"We will be right with you..."

30min later, still no ice. It took 3 requests to get a simple bag of ice. They were not busy everyone was sitting at the nursing station gossiping instead of treating those who were injured. It took longer and longer as more elderly were coming in because the weather was brutal outside.

Sent for x-rays and had to wait again, more time passes without anything of interest. Doctor comes by eventually and tells us they need more x-rays. Do those, put through more pain then before just to have the doctors say they weren't needed. WTF!?

I believe the medical system needs a serious face lift and doctors need to remember what their job is. You are healers, care givers not walking pay cheques. Quit thinking you are better then the world and remember your Hippocratic Oath.

White Knight,
Old Man in a hat

We all know about them, we have all seen them; the dreaded old man in a hat driving his car without a care in the world. For starters they are truly a menace on the roadways of our country, they don't pay attention to traffic laws, other drivers or pedestrians. On top of that they only seem to come out in the winter time, all summer long they are in hiding but as soon as the snow starts to fly they are everywhere.

We need to do more as a society to help our senior citizens get around while keeping their Independence but protecting us as drivers as well. I am not saying take away every ones license after the age of 60 but perhaps more testing should be done. An actual road test would be a good idea, not just the written test.
