Goodbye 2006
Well its almost over everyone, time for another year and a new beginning. 2006 was not exactly a good year for me, I had some good times and I had some really bad times.
I lost a very special lady, depending on how you look at it ladies. I have fine come to grips with the loss of my Grandmother last year. We were very close and when she died I never took the proper time to grieve and say goodbye which ate me up inside. I felt as though part of had died and that caused me to lash out at the ones around me and the ones I love.
The year is ending and I can start fresh, 2007 is going to be my year to escape the Gulag and move on to better things. Find that special someone or bring a special lady back into my life, not really sure...
For now I wish you all a Happy Holiday and a very happy New Year. Good luck to everyone and remember to live with honor.

Spare the rod, ruin society
I was recently part of a discussion about beatings, be it people or children. Our society has cracked down on crime and its become more rude and obnoxious. Why? Because there is no fear of physical injury.
When children were disciplined, they didn't run wild shooting people in schools and beating our elders for no reason. They were kept in line, they new their was a punishment and it came at the end of a hand, belt or switch. Even adults are running wild with no care in the world because there is no worry of having your head kicked in anymore. Perhaps I am just old school, I
follow the laws of the playground and the book of man. When someone thinks they can say and do what they want in my presence they have another thing coming. I do not condone violence beyond self-defence but I am also not afraid to get my hands dirty.
The conclusion of the discussion was we need more random beatings. Put the fear back into people that you screw up you will be beat. You commit a horrible crime you may be lynched. May seem medieval but that is what this world needs.

Circumcision
Recently Playboy has had a lot of articles in the Advisor and Dear Playboy about male circumcision. This seems to be a debated topic for a lot of people, personally I am on the side of not having it done. I wasn't cut as a child, and there is really no reason to have it done.
Lots of people will talk about that one person who had an infection or complication later in life, but that is usually 1 out of Millions.
Its dirty, it holds disease. Also a myth, there is nothing more hygenic about being circumcised then not being.
Women will be not approve of it. WTF? Really I have never had a woman complain about the fact that I wasn't circumcised. If anything they were curious and intrigued.
To follow the arguement of bad things can happen later, think about this.
When you are born you don't have your appendix or tonsils removed even though they may cause problems later in life. If your appendix bursts you could die. Nobody ever died from a penial infection.
Leave the foreskin alone, there is no need for it to be done.

Chasing Rainbows
Do you remember when you were young and saw a rainbow? Of course you do and you wondered where it came from and how far you would have to go to catch it.
As you got older you realized that you couldn't catch it, its not possible and gave up. Well sometimes there are people that never stop trying to catch the rainbow. I know one of those people, and to be honest its sad. Of course at this point none of us really care because she is never going to stop.
Rainbows are pretty and can bring you joy for a short time, but you have to realize that you can't catch them.

Mercy for the Unmerciful?
Down in Florida there was recently an execution of a murderer. According to the news it did not go as planned as I shall show below:
"Wednesday's execution of Angel Nieves Diaz took 34 minutes _ twice as long as usual _ and required a rare second dose of lethal chemicals because the needles were inserted clear through his veins and into the flesh in his arms"
The stories include the lines of cruel and unusual punishment. I can understand those words but do they really apply? He was a convicted murderer, he broke a law as old as the commandments themselves. Should he have been shown mercy? I assume the answer for people reading is going to be yes; after all why not show someone mercy they are a human being. Ask yourself this, did his victim get mercy, was anyone looking out for the victim... No.
We cry and carry on about a man who suffered longer while being killed because he killed someone. Did he suffer anymore then his victim, probably not. Should we show great remorse over this?
Put yourself in the place of the victims family, how would you feel about it...

35 days of Christmas
Christmas. I'm not a fan.
Its not so much the holiday that bothers me but more the 35days building up to the holiday. It starts on Black Friday and runs until Christmas.
Its more then just shopping its the overwhelming decorating that goes along with it. Right now the Gulag looks like Santas Village threw up all over the place. Its awful, this is a place of business.
Why can't christmas be like all our other holidays. 1 day. Not 35 just 1. I am sure most of you are saying geesh he's a scrooge but do you even remember what you are celebrating. This time of year should be for family getting together for some good times not a mad shopping spree of useless unwanted garbage.
Happy Holidays,

Sob Story
I just can't stand the sob story. Everyday at work I hear story after story of how hard done people are without their internet service. Sooner or later you have to realize that I don't care.
Everyone has a story and everyone thinks theirs is the best but take a minute and compare your story to someone else. Compare it to someone who is living on the streets, no money, no food, no job. Nothing.
Thats a story.
