Art of the Vigilante.

So here is something I have been thinking about for awhile. What is the difference between a vigilante and a police officer. I can only see two differences, a badge and restraint. Police in the world capture criminals everyday which is great; they are then processed through the justice system as flawed as it may be.

The holes come in when a rapist for example can get away on reasonable doubt. When you see the victim can you still see reasonable doubt? I have known many women who have been raped or sexually assaulted and nothing has ever happened to the criminal. If we followed the art of the vigilante then something would have happened. The bastard who did it would be beaten beyond believe or possibly killed; is this a bad thing? Well it depends on how you look at it, on one hand you are breaking the greatest morals of society while on the other hand you have removed a threat from your community and taken vengeance as it was once seen in Babylon.

I am not saying that everyone should run outside and go on a rampage, but what I am saying is maybe its time for someone to stand up for the silent out there. If you want to lie, cheat or steal that is fine, do what you need to do to survive in the world. But as far as I am concerned you never rape and you never kill -- these are the rules.
